Bisoprolol (5 Mg)

Bisoprolol is the main constituent of Concor 5 Mg tablet. Which belongs to the beta-blockers group of drugs. Beta-blockers are an important class of drugs crucial in protecting from heart diseases.

Concor 5 Mg tablet is a beta-1 selective drug. This means it lacks any effects due to beta -2 selective action. Beta-1 selective medicines like Concor 5 Mg tablet can be used to treat multiple heart diseases. The other uses of Concor 5 Mg tablet are migraine, tremors and arrhythmia.

The primary use of Concor 5 Mg tablet is maintaining and treating hypertension and post or recent myocardial infection; Concor 5 Mg tablet is the first line of treatment for chronic stable angina. Also used as a treatment for congestive heart failure. Which reduces the risk of stroke and corona artery disease.

This is a well-tolerated drug due to its selective action. It is sued alone or in combination with other drugs to treat hypertension. The effect of is seen in 2-4 hours. It can be taken along with food.

Treatment of high blood pressure( hypertension): Concor 5 Mg tablet helps treat high blood pressure by showing a negative ionotropic effect( reduced contractions of heart muscles) and a chronotropic effect(reduced/changed heart rate). It lowers blood pressure and helps in reducing the risk of heart attack, strokes and other heart ailments.
Treatment of angina pectoris (chest pain due to blocking blood vessels carrying oxygen-rich blood to heart muscles): Concor 5 Mg tablet helps relax blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart muscles and get enough oxygen supply. This action will reduce the chest pain caused by angina. Taking Concor 5 Mg tablet will help with angina, increase the ability to exercise easily, and reduce the frequency of angina attacks.

Directions for Use of Concor 5 MG Tablet 10

Follow the directions given by your pharmacist or doctor. You can follow the general directions below if you do not have one.

Take tablet with one whole glass of water.
Swallow tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
Take the tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication.

Concor 5 Mg tablet should be taken orally.

Nausea: A feeling to vomit, actually without any vomiting, characterises nausea. It is a common side effect which goes away with the progress of the medication course.
Vomiting - when the stomach contents are let out through the mouth, is referred to as vomiting. It may be a discomfort feeling. Vomiting will reduce on its own and is seen only during the early phase of the medication course.
Diarrhoea - loose motions with increased frequency to pass stool characterises diarrhoea. It’s a common side effect which goes away on its own.
Muscle aches- these may happen due to tiredness or weakness after taking tablet. Muscle aches may go away with time.

Managing the Side Effects:

Nausea - to manage the nauseating feeling, drink a glass of lemon water, smell the peels of lemon, and breathe in some fresh air. Doing these simple things should resolve nausea.
Vomiting - can be reduced by avoiding any spicy, fried and fried foods, eating bland foods like bananas and whole wheat bread, and avoiding too much coffee or tea. By following these simple measures, they can be controlled.
Diarrhoea- drink plenty of fluids like juices, squashes, especially ORS solution. Drinking ORS solution will benefit much as it will restore the lost nutrients and essential body salts. Besides drinking fluids, eating fruits like bananas which control the loose motions, will also help.
Muscle aches- to relieve muscle aches, apply any pain relieving gel/ointment, massage the muscle ache with herbal oils specially made for muscle pain, and keep your body healthy and fit to stay fit and active. Doing these small tips will ensure muscle aches are relieved.

Concor 5 Mg tablet shows the medicine’s activity by blocking beta receptors/sites of action, due to which there is low cardiac output. The regular activity at beta receptors due to epinephrine is an increase in heart rate and high blood pressure.
Another activity is decreasing the contraction of cardiac muscle, because of which the cardiac output is reduced through competing with other chemical substances such as beta-1 receptors.

Pregnancy

Concor 5 Mg tablet can be harmful to both the mother and the child. It may lead to retarted growth, premature birth, and miscarriage. Hence it is not recommended during the pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using it during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

It is not known if Concor 5 Mg tablet is secreted in breast milk. Therefore, its use is not recommended for breastfeeding mothers. Please consult your doctor before use in breastfeeding.

Alcohol

Liver

Over Dose
