Zoclar 500 Tablet 4 is indicated for the management of:

• Upper respiratory tract infections, including sinusitis and pharyngitis

• Lower respiratory tract infections like bronchitis and pneumonia

• Middle ear infections, also known as acute otitis media

• Skin and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis and abscesses

• Dental and oral complications like periapical abscess and periodontitis

• Bacterial infections of the stomach linked with peptic ulcer disease, typically caused by Helicobacter pylori (in combination with other medicines)

• Disseminated or localised mycobacterial infections in adults and children aged over 12.

Here's how to take Zoclar 500 Tablet 4:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid breaking, chewing, or crushing it.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Continue taking your medicine even if you start feeling better. Do not stop until you complete the entire medication course. This is important as stopping too early might allow the bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a return of the infection.

Zoclar 500 Tablet 4 contains Clarithromycin (500 MG), which acts on your body through:

• Binding to Bacteria: Clarithromycin attaches itself to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria in your body.

• Inhibiting Protein Synthesis: It prevents bacterial protein synthesis by disrupting peptide translocation. This interference halts bacteria's growth and multiplication, thereby effectively controlling the infection.

• Keep Zoclar 500 Tablet 4 at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.

• Avoid exposing the medicine to moisture and light.

• Do not refrigerate or freeze the tablets.

• Always keep Zoclar 500 Tablet 4 out of the reach of children.
