Tretiva-10 Capsule is used for these health conditions:

• Managing severe recalcitrant nodular acne: This condition is characterised by painful, swollen lumps beneath the skin that persist for weeks or months and can leave permanent scars.

• Helping patients who have not responded adequately to other acne treatments: This includes cases where topical medications and oral antibiotics have proven ineffective.

Here are the basic steps to follow while taking Tretiva-10 Capsule:

• Strictly follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor for this medication.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without your doctor's approval.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing this medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Tretiva-10 Capsule is taken orally.

Tretiva-10 Capsule contains isotretinoin (10 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Reduces Sebum Production: Isotretinoin significantly decreases the size and activity of the sebaceous glands in your skin, leading to a marked reduction in sebum production.

• Hinders Bacterial Growth: By reducing sebum output, isotretinoin creates an environment less favourable for Propionibacterium acnes, a bacteria associated with acne.

• Decreases Inflammation: Isotretinoin has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness, swelling, and pain associated with severe acne lesions.

• Normalises Follicular Keratinization: This medication normalises the process of keratinisation within the follicle, preventing the formation of microcomedones which are precursors to acne lesions.

• Keep your Tretiva-10 Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.

• Keep it in a tightly closed container to protect it from light and moisture.
