Torsid Plus 10/50 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of fluid retention related to congestive heart failure

• Control of water accumulation caused by liver cirrhosis

• Handling fluid build-up linked to nephrotic syndrome

• Reduction of oedema associated with chronic kidney disease

• Regulation of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension

• Addressing primary hyperaldosteronism, a condition leading to excessive aldosterone hormone production by the adrenal glands

Here are some guidelines for taking Torsid Plus 10/50 Tablet:

• Consume the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Administer the medicine once daily, preferably in the morning, to avoid frequent urination at night.

• Always remember not to exceed the prescribed dosage without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without first speaking to your doctor.

Torsid Plus 10/50 Tablet is taken orally.

Torsid Plus 10/50 Tablet consists of two active ingredients that function differently:

• Torsemide (10 mg): This ingredient falls under loop diuretics. It inhibits the absorption of sodium and chloride in certain parts of your kidneys—specifically, the ascending loop of Henle and the distal renal tubule. This action leads to increased excretion of water, sodium, chloride, magnesium, and calcium from your body.

• Spironolactone (50 mg): Known as a potassium-sparing diuretic, spironolactone opposes aldosterone, a hormone that promotes sodium retention and potassium loss in the kidneys. By blocking aldosterone, spironolactone increases the excretion of sodium and water from the body while decreasing potassium excretion.

The combined action of these two diuretics helps increase urine output, which assists in reducing fluid accumulation and effectively managing oedema.

• Store Torsid Plus 10/50 Tablet in a dry place, shielding it from light and moisture.

• Maintain an ideal room temperature, not exceeding 30°C for storage.

• Keep the medicine out of children's reach at all times.

• Use the product before the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you have high blood pressure or oedema, lessen your salt intake. Consuming too much salt can cause your body to retain water, exacerbating these conditions.
