Tonact 40 Tablet belongs to the class Hydroxy methyl glutaryl coenzyme A reductase inhibitors (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors). These HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors are commonly known as “statins” and are lipid-regulating (fat-regulating) medicines.

This medicine is used to lower the cholesterol in the blood. It lowers the bad cholesterol and triglycerides & increases the good cholesterol in the blood. It is a prescription medicine which has to be taken only on a doctor’s prescription.
