Tazomac Injection is used for the management of the following conditions:

• Lower respiratory tract infections, including hospital-acquired pneumonia and ventilator-associated pneumonia

• Intra-abdominal infections such as complicated appendicitis or peritonitis

• Gynecological infections like endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease

• Skin and soft tissue infections, particularly diabetic foot infections

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs) and kidney infections

• Blood infection, and other severe systemic infections

• Prophylaxis before certain surgeries to prevent potential infection

Administer Tazomac Injection with these steps in mind:

• Tazomac Injection is administered directly into a vein under medical supervision.

• Ensure that the injection site is clean before administration.

• The injection should be given slowly over a period of 30 minutes.

Tazomac Injection is administered intravenously.

Tazomac Injection contains two active ingredients:

• Piperacillin (4 GM): This is a broad-spectrum, semisynthetic penicillin derivative. It manages bacterial growth by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall.

• Tazobactam (0.5 GM): As a beta-lactamase inhibitor, tazobactam prevents resistant bacteria from inactivating piperacillin, which extends its antibacterial activity.

Together, these two components provide effective coverage against many types of bacteria and help manage numerous bacterial infections successfully.
