Sucral suspension belongs to a class of medicines known as gastric protectants. It is used to protect the stomach lining and help in management of active duodenal ulcers as well as maintenance therapy for resolved ulcers.

It is also used for managing symptoms like heartburn associated with gastro-esopgageal reflux disease and for protection against ventilator associated pneumonia by reducing gastric acidity.
