Sucraday-O Suspension is used for:

• Short-term management of active duodenal ulcers.

• Management and healing of stomach ulcers.

• Management and healing of gastric ulcers.

• Management of acidity and heartburn.

• Controlling gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as GERD.

• Helping to heal gut inflammation not caused by ulcers, such as H. pylori infection.

Taking Sucraday-O Suspension correctly is important. Here are the steps you need to follow:

• Shake the bottle well before using it every time.

• Measure the exact quantity, recommended by your doctor using a spoon or measuring cup provided with the medicine.

• Always take this medicine on an empty stomach, at least one hour before meals or bedtime.

• If you need to take antacids for pain relief, ensure they are taken at least 30 minutes apart from Sucraday-O doses.

• For additional instructions, remember to read the package insert thoroughly.

Sucraday-O Suspension is taken orally.

Sucraday-O Suspension contains two active ingredients which work together to manage ulcers:

• Sucralfate (1000 mg): This ingredient forms a complex at the ulcer site that sticks to it, creating a protective barrier that shields it from further damage from gastric acid, pepsin and bile. It also stimulates the production of certain substances in the gastric mucosa, which enhances its defence and healing. Sucralfate provides about 14-16 meq/L of acid-neutralising capacity per 1 g dose.

• Oxetacaine (20 mg): Oxetacaine acts as a local anaesthetic and provides quick pain relief by numbing inflamed or ulcerated tissues in the gastrointestinal lining. This effect persists even in the highly acidic environment of the stomach.

• Keep Sucraday-O Suspension at a controlled room temperature below 30°C.

• Safeguard the medicine from freezing conditions.

• Remember to shake the bottle well before use.

• Make sure it's stored out of reach and sight of children.

• Try to eat small, frequent meals throughout the day. This can help manage gut inflammation and acidity conditions that Sucraday-O Suspension helps manage.

• Limit your intake of trigger foods such as spicy dishes, alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco. These substances can exacerbate symptoms associated with gastric ulcers, a condition managed by this medicine.
