Stomacare Muco-Adhesive Gel is used for the following:

• Providing relief from the discomfort of mouth ulcers

• Reducing the burning sensation linked with mouth sores

• Minimising the redness and swelling around oral ulcers

• Preventing bacterial infection in mouth lesions

• Easing pain to facilitate normal eating and speaking while ulcers heal

To apply Stomacare Muco-Adhesive Gel, follow these steps:

• Before application, make sure your hands are clean.

• Apply a small quantity of the gel directly onto the ulcer using a clean, dry finger.

• Avoid eating or drinking for 1 hour after applying to allow the medicine to fully coat the sores.

• Do not rinse your mouth immediately after application.

• Always replace the cap tightly after use, and wash your hands thoroughly.

• For optimal results, follow these steps as directed by your doctor.

Stomacare Muco-Adhesive Gel is applied topically inside the mouth.

Stomacare Muco-Adhesive Gel contains three active ingredients:

• Choline Salicylate (8.7%): As an NSAID, this ingredient works by blocking the production of substances known as prostaglandins which cause pain and inflammation. Consequently, it reduces discomfort associated with ulcers.

• Lidocaine (2%): This local anaesthetic works by numbing nerve endings in the affected area, temporarily decreasing pain sensations from the ulcers.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): This antiseptic component helps prevent bacterial infections that can occur in sores.

Together, these components create a protective coating over mouth sores while simultaneously fighting inflammation, relieving pain and preventing infection enabling faster healing of oral lesions.

• Always store Stomacare Muco-Adhesive Gel at a temperature below 30°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture.

• Be sure to keep the gel out of reach of children.

• Avoid spicy or acidic foods, which can irritate mouth ulcers. Instead, opt for soft, bland foods like porridge or mashed potatoes.

• Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush and rinsing your mouth after meals. This can help prevent further inflammation of ulcers and promote healing.
