Presidio Tablet 10

Presidio Tablet is used in the management of the following conditions:

• Neuropathic pain due to nerve damage or dysfunction

• Painful diabetic neuropathy, a condition where high blood sugar levels damage nerves causing chronic pain

• Post-herpetic neuralgia, which is persistent pain following a shingles infection

• Pain resulting from spinal cord injury

Here's how you should take Presidio Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or dissolve the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take your medicine at the same time each day to get the most benefit.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Never take two doses at once.

• Always consult your doctor if you have any queries regarding the usage of Presidio Tablet.

Presidio Tablet is taken orally.

Presidio Tablet contains two active ingredients that work synergistically for pain relief:

• Etoricoxib (60 mg): This is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor—meaning it specially targets an enzyme called COX-2 in your body. This enzyme plays a crucial part in producing substances called prostaglandins that can cause inflammation, swelling and pain. By inhibiting COX-2, etoricoxib reduces prostaglandin production and consequently decreases inflammation and pain.

• Pregabalin (75 mg): Pregabalin works by binding to certain areas in your nervous system known as voltage-gated calcium channels. By doing this, it reduces the release of neurotransmitters—substances that transmit nerve signals—that excite nerve cells. These include substance P, glutamate and noradrenaline. This calming effect on overactive nerves helps manage pain signals, especially in cases where there is nerve damage or dysfunction.

• Keep Presidio Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from moisture; store it in a tightly closed container.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Ensure you use Presidio Tablet before its expiry date.
