Perinorm Injection is a prescribed injection to treat nausea and vomiting in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease or diabetic gastroparesis by increasing gastric motility. Perinorm Injection action also controls nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients. Additionally, Perinorm Injection can be administered to prevent nausea and vomiting in postoperative patients. Perinorm Injection is also used off-label to treat acute migraine. It acts as an effective adjunctive agent for acute nausea and vomiting and reduces headache intensity in acute migraine.
The Perinorm Injection composition includes Metoclopramide hydrochloride (5mg).
Perinorm Injection should be used with caution in patients with a history of seizure disorder, Parkinson's disease, or depression, as it may worsen these conditions. It should not be used in patients with a history of gastrointestinal obstruction, perforation, or haemorrhage.
