Ondem-MD 4 Tablet is used for the following:

• Preventing and managing nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy

• Minimising nausea and vomiting induced by radiation therapy

• Controlling postoperative nausea and vomiting after surgical procedures

• Managing nausea and vomiting related to pregnancy, commonly known as morning sickness

• Helping control motion sickness-induced nausea and vomiting

Here's how you use Ondem-MD 4 Tablet:

• Place this tablet on your tongue. It will dissolve rapidly without the need for water.

• It can be taken with or without food, whichever suits you best.

• Follow your doctor's instructions closely when taking this medicine.

Ondem-MD 4 Tablet is taken orally.

Ondem-MD 4 Tablet contains a single active ingredient: ondansetron (4 mg). This ingredient works in the body as follows:

• Serotonin Blocking: Ondansetron works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that can cause feelings of nausea and trigger vomiting.

• Reducing Nausea and Vomiting Reflex: By inhibiting serotonin's activity in certain areas of the body like the chemoreceptor trigger zone and gastrointestinal tract, ondansetron effectively reduces both the sensation of nausea and the reflex of vomiting.

• Store Ondem-MD 4 Tablet at room temperature, preferably below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Avoid exposure to heat.

• Always keep this medication out of reach of children.

• Remember to use this medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're undergoing cancer treatment, maintaining a balanced diet is crucial. Include plenty of proteins, vitamins, and minerals in your meals to support your body during chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

• Consider gentle exercises such as walking or yoga, if approved by your doctor. This can help manage fatigue and constipation caused by chemotherapy or postsurgery recovery.
