Metabolic acidosis: Nodosis tablets are used to treat excess acidic conditions inside the human body. This condition is due to many diseases like dehydration, kidney dysfunction, severe diarrhoea and heart problems.

Intoxication of drugs: Nodosis tablets are also utilised for the treatment of drug intoxication caused by salicylates, methyl alcohol, and phenobarbital. They help decrease the reabsorption of these drugs and assist in correcting acidosis.

Hemolytic reaction: Nodosis tablets are beneficial in the treatment of hemolytic reactions by alkalinizing the urine. This alkalinization aids in reducing the nephrotoxic effects caused by blood pigments.

Helps in the alkylation of urine and blood: The urine alkylation by Nodosis tablet helps increase the excretion of toxic substances from the body.

Indigestion: It is characterised by stomach discomforts such as a burning sensation, bloating and nausea, and tummy fullness even after insufficient food. It heals indigestion by decreasing the acid levels in the stomach. It also relieves excess gas by breaking the trapped gas bubbles inside the stomach.

Chemical phlebitis: It is used in reducing the inflammation of veins induced by extreme ranges of PH fluids. 

Hyperkalemia: It is used to correct excess potassium levels in the human body. 

• Take the Nodosis 500 mg tablet as per the instructions of the doctor. 
• The dose and dosage regimen is individualised. 
• Do not crush or chew the tablet while consuming it.
• Take Nodosis tablets at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication.

• Nodosis tablets should be administered orally.

• Nodosis tablets contain sodium bicarbonate as the active ingredient. It neutralises the stomach acid and functions as an antacid. The main medical activity of Nodosis tablets is attributed to the increase in plasma bicarbonate levels, which aids in neutralising the hydrogen ions. This effect will help in combating the excessive acid level leading to acidosis. 

• Store Nodosis 500 mg tablets in a cool and dry place
• Place it away from direct sunlight 
• Store it at a temperature of 20-25 ºC. 
• Keep the tablets away from the sight and reach of children 

• Eat smaller portions of food many times.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to stomach acid, thereby causing heartburn and increased acidity. 
• Practise relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation to avoid stress. 
• Avoid high fatty acid foods, spicy foods, chocolates, citrus foods, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda. 
• Avoid acid reflux by maintaining correct postures.
• Avoid a sedentary position for a long time. Take a brisk walk for at least 5 minutes after 1 hour of sitting position. 
• Maintain a healthy weight. 
• Avoid all the acid reflux triggers like wearing tight clothes and pressure on the stomach due to tight belts.

• Nodosis tablets can be taken with or without food, as the doctor advises. 
• It results in the retention of sodium and potassium, which may lead to imbalances of salts. Such imbalances can potentially contribute to the development of congestive heart failure or heart attack. 
• Patients who are on a sodium or salt-restricted diet should take Nodosis tablets with care. 
• Regular monitoring of blood acid levels is recommended to ensure the maintenance of normal levels within the human body.
