Montymo 10 Tablet 10

Montymo 10 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention and chronic asthma management in adults and children over 1 year old.

• Avoiding exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (tightening of the airways caused by physical activity) in individuals who are 6 years old or above.

• Alleviating symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (a type of nose allergy that occurs during a particular season) in people aged 2 years and older.

• Providing relief from perennial allergic rhinitis (year-round nose allergy) in patients aged 6 months and above.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• The medicine should be taken regularly, even during menstrual periods without symptoms, to get the most benefit.

• If you need to exercise, take one dose at least two hours before you start.

• Never alter your dose or stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Montymo 10 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Montymo 10 Tablet 10 contains montelukast (10 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• CysLT1 Receptor Inhibition: Montelukast selectively inhibits CysLT1 receptors, which are involved in producing substances that cause airway muscles to tighten and mucus and fluid to be produced in the lungs.

• Anti-inflammatory Effect: By blocking these CysLT1 receptors, montelukast reduces inflammation in the airways, thereby helping prevent asthma symptoms and allergic rhinitis.

It's important to note that montelukast is not a bronchodilator and does not provide immediate relief from acute asthma attacks.

• Store the Montymo 10 Tablet 10 in the original package, maintaining a dry environment.

• The ideal temperature for storage is 20-25°C.

• Protect the medicine from exposure to direct light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• If you are taking Montymo 10 Tablet 10 to manage asthma, then avoid exposure to allergens like dust and smoke that trigger asthma attacks.

• Regular aerobic exercise can improve lung function; however, take care to warm up slowly and cool down after to prevent exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
