Momate Cream is used to manage the following health conditions:

• Eczema: A skin condition causing itchy, inflamed and sometimes blistered skin.

• Psoriasis: A chronic condition that causes red, flaky, crusty patches of skin covered with silvery scales.

• Dermatitis: Inflammation of the skin that can lead to itchy, red, swollen and sore skin.

• Rash

• Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses: A group of skin disorders that respond well to corticosteroid medications.

To use Momate Cream correctly, follow these steps:

• Ensure the affected area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin film of the cream to the problem area once daily or as directed by your doctor.

• Gently rub in the cream until it is fully absorbed into your skin.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after each application, unless your hands are the treatment target.

• Remember to consult your doctor for tailored advice on using this medication.

Momate Cream contains Mometasone (0.1%), and it works on your body in the following ways:

• Binding to Intracellular Receptors: Mometasone binds to certain receptors inside your body's cells. These receptors are responsible for controlling inflammation.

• Regulating Gene Transcription: After binding to these receptors, mometasone enters the cell nucleus where it regulates gene transcription. This process helps control inflammation by suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines and inducing anti-inflammatory proteins.

• Inhibiting Arachidonic Acid Release: Mometasone induces proteins called lipocortins that inhibit the release of arachidonic acid from cell membranes. This reduction in arachidonic acid leads to a decrease in inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes.

• Reducing Inflammation at Application Site: The application of mometasone decreases capillary dilation, cellular infiltration and collagen deposition at the site of application. This action further reduces inflammation and helps manage skin conditions effectively.

• Store Momate Cream at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct heat and moisture.

• Ensure the container is tightly closed when not in use.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• If you're using Momate Cream for eczema, try to include foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like fish and flaxseeds in your diet. These can help reduce inflammation.

• For managing psoriasis, focus on a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains. Avoid alcohol as it can trigger psoriasis flare-ups.
