Composition

Lactitol Monohydrate (10 Gm)

Lactifiber Syrup belongs to the group of medicines called laxatives. It is prescribed to treat chronic constipation. It is also used in preventing hepatic encephalopathy in adults, adolescents, and the elderly.

This medicine enhances water retention in the bowel, softening stool and augmenting bowel volume. By hydrating the gut content and lowering intra-luminal pH, it facilitates shorter transit time and establishes laxation.

Before using this medication, inform your doctor if you have diabetes or difficulties digesting milk sugar. If prolonged usage is anticipated, your doctor may recommend occasional blood tests to monitor mineral levels. Refrain from taking other laxative medications concurrently with this medicine.
