• Functional dyspepsia: Functional dyspepsia symptoms like nausea and vomiting are characterised by a feeling of discomfort in the stomach, which happens randomly and occurs without a specific reason. These wave-like movements of the gastrointestinal tract are not traceable or measurable and hence cannot be used to confirm the symptoms. Ganaton 50 mg is an effective medication for the treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with functional dyspepsia.
• Gastroparesis: It is characterised by delayed gastric emptying due to slow or no movement of food from the stomach to the intestine. Ganaton tablet is the choice of treatment for gastroparesis, especially in diabetic gastroparesis. It helps alleviate the symptoms associated with delayed gastric emptying, improving overall gastrointestinal function.
• Heartburn: The backflow of food from the stomach to the mouth causes a burning sensation in the chest; this is called heartburn. Ganaton 50 is an effective treatment for symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including heartburn.
• Anorexia: Anorexia is an eating disorder characterised by an inappropriate dietary pattern that does not align with an individual's age and height. Ganaton tablets may remove the feeling of fullness of the stomach and create hunger.

Follow the directions provided by your pharmacist or doctor for using a Ganaton tablet. Below are the general instructions for reference. 

• Take the tablet with a glass of water.
• Swallow the tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
• This medication can be taken with or without, but taking it at a fixed time is advisable.

• Ganaton 50 mg tablets can be taken orally.

• Ganaton 50 mg has a dual medical action which gives it the effective gastro-prokinetic property, i.e., characteristic wave-like movements in the oesophagus, gastric motility and emptying of the stomach. 
• The medicinal activity of this tablet is exerted through two main mechanisms. The first action is seen in the upper digestive tract, particularly the oesophagus and stomach, where the D2 receptors are located. Dopamine (D2) is a chemical substance that inhibits or stops the motility of the gastrointestinal tract. Ganaton 50 mg acts as an inhibitory or antagonistic on the dopamine-sensitive areas, thereby causing enhanced motility.
• The second mechanism of action is the inhibition of the acetylcholinesterase enzyme, which helps regulate the levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a chemical substance which is involved in muscle contractions for the movement of muscle. It causes increased motility/motion of the oesophagus and stomach. The inhibition of acetylcholinesterase leads to the accumulation of acetylcholine in the gap between two neurons, which helps to achieve the desired motility of the stomach. 

• Store Ganaton 50 mg tablets at room temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect them from light and moisture. 
• Keep Ganaton tablets away from the reach of children. 
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid foods which precipitate heartburn, like coffee, tomatoes, and spicy and fatty foods. 
• Exercise regularly, which will prevent heartburn. 
• Avoid alcohol consumption. 
• Eat food in divided portions. 
• Stop smoking.

• If you have any intolerance to sugar, then use Ganaton with caution, as they contain lactose. It is recommended to consult your doctor for guidance in such cases.
• Gastric emptying can be harmful if you suffer from gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction or perforation. 
• The effect of this medicine can be seen within 30-60 minutes.
