Flexabenz Gel 30gm

The Flexabenz Gel is used to provide relief from:

• Muscle and joint pain associated with arthritis
• Rheumatism (inflammation and pain in joints)
• Fibrositis (Pain in the back area)
• Lumbago (Pain in lower portion of back)
• Sciatica (Pain in leg)
• Stiff neck
• Tennis elbow (Pain in muscles of forearm to elbow)
• Chilblains (Swelling and pain in hands and feet due to extreme cold)

• Apply a small amount of Flexabenz Gel to the affected area.
• Rub the gel in gently until it is fully absorbed.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
• Avoid getting the gel in your eyes, mouth, or nose.
• Do not apply the gel to open wounds, broken skin, or mucous membranes.

Flexabenz Gel is applied externally to the affected area. It is meant for external use only and should not be taken orally.

The Flexabenz Gel comprises of the following components:

• Diclofenac diethylamine (1%): It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic (pain-relieving), and antipyretic (fever-reducing) properties. When applied topically, it inhibits the production of prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for promoting inflammation, pain, and swelling. By reducing the levels of prostaglandins, diclofenac helps alleviate local inflammation and pain, making it beneficial for conditions such as muscle and joint injuries.
• Linseed oil (Flaxseed oil) (3%): It contains omega-3 fatty acids, specifically alpha-linolenic acid, which have anti-inflammatory properties. When applied topically, it helps reduce inflammation in the affected area and relieve pain and swelling.
• Menthol (5%): It is a natural compound known for its cooling sensation when applied to the skin. It acts as a counterirritant, creating a temporary cooling effect that distracts from pain sensations. 
• Methyl Salicylate (10%): It exhibits mild analgesic properties to improve musculoskeletal pain.
• Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride (2%): It is a muscle relaxant that reduces muscle spasms and stiffness. It inhibits nerve impulses that are responsible for causing muscle contractions, thereby promoting muscle relaxation. When applied topically, it can help relieve muscle tension and discomfort associated with strains and sprains when applied topically.

• Store this medicine in a cool and dry place.
• Keep Flexabenz Gel away from children.

• Apply a warm compress or bath to relax muscles and alleviate pain. For acute injuries, use cold packs to reduce inflammation and swelling.
• Perform gentle stretches to improve flexibility and prevent muscle stiffness. Avoid overstretching, especially if you have an injury.
• While rest is essential, avoid prolonged immobility. Gentle movements can help maintain blood circulation and prevent stiffness.
• Elevate the affected limb to reduce swelling and inflammation.
• Consider using compression bandages or sleeves to support the injured area and minimise swelling for strains and sprains.
