Chymonac Tablet is used to manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions. This combination medicine is part of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs group, coupled with other analgesics and proteolytic enzymes.
It also helps manage pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It can benefit people suffering from strains, sprains, tendinitis and low back pain.
Chymonac Tablet is used for the following:
Managing symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis
Alleviating discomfort of osteoarthritis
Reducing inflammation and pain in ankylosing spondylitis
Providing relief in acute musculoskeletal disorders like strains, sprains, and low back pain
Easing post-operative pain, trauma and swelling
Helping with dysmenorrhea
Dealing with dental pain and inflammation after tooth extraction
Reducing ear, nose, and throat inflammation
Follow these instructions while taking Chymonac Tablet:
Swallow whole tablet with water.
Do not chew or crush the tablet.
Do not take more than the dosage recommended by your doctor.

Chymonac Tablet is taken orally.
Chymonac Tablet may have the following common side effects:
Dyspepsia: Indigestion, which might cause discomfort
Abdominal pain
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhoea or constipation

Rash, pruritus, urticaria/hives: A change in skin colour or texture, an itching sensation, and red, itchy bumps, respectively

Chymonac Tablet has three active ingredients:
Aceclofenac (100 mg): A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication, aceclofenac works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, responsible for producing pro-inflammatory prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. By blocking these, aceclofenac provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.
Paracetamol/acetaminophen (325 mg): This acts as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting COX enzymes in the brain and spinal cord, and reduces prostaglandin synthesis, helping manage pain and regulate body temperature.
Trypsin-chymotrypsin (150000 AU): These proteolytic enzymes break down proteins into smaller peptides and reduce inflammation by promoting the absorption of aceclofenac and paracetamol, removing inflammatory exudates and fibrin deposits, reducing oedema by increasing permeability of blood vessels, and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators like bradykinin.
Together, these make the tablet an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-oedema formulation useful for managing several conditions.
This medicine is not advisable during the last trimester of pregnancy. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, consult your doctor before starting Chymonac Tablet.
The safety and efficacy of Chymonac Tablet during breastfeeding are not fully established. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Caution is advised for consuming alcohol when taking Chymonac Tablet as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Discuss your alcohol consumption with your doctor before starting this medicine.
If you have any liver impairment, caution is advised while taking Chymonac Tablet. It is not recommended if you have severe liver diseases.
Chymonac Tablet should be used with caution if you have a history of kidney problems. Consult your doctor before starting this medication if you have kidney health concerns.
Chymonac Tablet may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if experiencing these.
