Brinzox T Eye Drops are used in managing the following conditions:

• Reduction of high intraocular pressure (IOP) in adult patients suffering from ocular hypertension.

• Managing elevated IOP in adults with open-angle glaucoma.

• Use as a replacement or adjunctive therapy for managing inadequately controlled IOP.

Use Brinzox T Eye Drops as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Use the suspension within one month after opening the vial.

• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface since this may contaminate the suspension.

• Brinzolamide (1%): This component is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that works by blocking an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase II in the eyes. Blocking this enzyme reduces sodium and fluid transport which in turn lowers aqueous secretion—the liquid produced inside the eyes.

• Timolol (0.5%): Classified as a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent, timolol works by blocking beta receptors on the ciliary epithelium – a thin layer in the eye. This action decreases aqueous humour production, likely by reducing the flow of fluid within the eyes. It may also slightly enhance the outflow facility—meaning it helps fluid leave the eyes more easily.
