Ambronac Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a long-term lung disorder

• Handling bronchitis, which involves inflammation of the bronchial tubes

• Dealing with bronchiectasis, a condition where the airways in your lungs widen and thicken over time

• Helping with pneumonia, an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs

• Assisting in cystic fibrosis management, a genetic disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and other organs

Here's how you should take Ambronac Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's best to take this medicine after meals.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet; it's meant to be swallowed as is.

• Remember not to consume more than what your doctor has recommended.

• Do not stop taking the medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Ambronac Tablet is taken orally.

Ambronac Tablet contains two active components:

• Acetylcysteine (200 mg): This ingredient serves as a mucolytic agent that disrupts disulfide bonds in mucus glycoproteins. This action reduces the viscosity and elasticity of mucus, promoting its clearance from the lungs. Furthermore, acetylcysteine has antioxidant properties that protect the lungs from oxidative damage.

• Ambroxol (30 mg): Ambroxol stimulates the production of pulmonary surfactant, reducing mucus adherence to the airways. It also enhances mucociliary transport – a process that facilitates mucus movement out of the lungs. Lastly, ambroxol exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects in the respiratory tract.
