Sinusitis

Sinusitis is characterised by inflammation of the nasal passages and surrounding sinuses, leading to symptoms such as nasal congestion and pain or pressure in the eyes, nose, cheeks, or forehead. Almox 250 capsule is prescribed for treating bacterial sinusitis, targeting the underlying infection causing these symptoms.

Respiratory tract infections

Almox 250 capsule is used to treat the following lung infections: 

• Pneumonia: It is an infection of the air sacs in the lungs (single or both lungs). It can be bacterial and viral. Almox 250 capsule is used to treat pneumonia caused by bacteria. 
• Bronchitis: The swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes regulate air passage in the lungs. Almox 250 capsule is used to treat bronchitis caused by bacteria.
• Skin and soft tissue infections: Skin and soft tissue infections appear when the bacteria affects the skin and its supporting structures. Almox 250 capsule treats all skin infections, including puss caused by bacteria.
• Cystitis: Cystitis is a bacterial infection causing swelling of the urinary bladder. Almox 250 capsule treats cystitis caused by E.coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, enterococci, and Klebsiella species.
• Gonorrhoea: It is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) spread by neisseria gonorrhoea bacteria that infects men and women. It spreads during vaginal, oral or anal sex without protection. Almox 250 capsule treats the gonococcal infection.
• Dental problems: A tooth abscess is a bacterial infection from an untreated cavity, decay, or injury. Almox 250 capsule is used to treat bacterial tooth infections and to stop them from spreading further.
• Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis: Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are inflammation and soreness in the throat and tonsils. Almox 250 capsule treats pharyngitis and tonsillitis.
• Gastrointestinal infections: This medication also treats gastrointestinal tract infections, such as acute infectious diarrhoea and bacterial gastroenteritis.

• Almox 250 capsule should be taken as your doctor recommends.
• Swallow it as a whole with water after your meal to avoid stomach discomfort.
• Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. 
• Take it at a fixed time for the best results.

• Almox 250 capsule should be taken orally.

• Almox 250 capsule contains amoxicillin, which inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. It does this by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, disrupting cell wall formation. This weakens the bacteria, causing their breakdown and elimination. Amoxicillin is effective against various types of bacteria but may be less effective against dormant bacteria.

• Store Almox 250 capsule at room temperature (15-25ºC).
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Almox 250 capsule away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Eating a balanced diet, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains, can help support the immune system and promote health. Avoid foods that may irritate the stomach or exacerbate side effects, such as spicy or greasy foods.
• Drinking fluids prevents dehydration and improves the medication's effectiveness.
• Getting adequate rest while taking Almox 250 capsule can help support the immune system and promote healing.
• Smoking can irritate the respiratory system and decrease the effectiveness of the medication in treating respiratory infections.
• It is essential to take the medicine exactly as your healthcare provider prescribes it. Do not miss doses or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

• Take the prescribed dose of Almox 250 capsule with meals. 
• Do not miss any doses and finish the complete course of treatment even if you feel better. Please don't stop early. It may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
• The effect of Almox 250 capsule lasts about 6 to 8 hours.
• Diarrhoea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Almox 250 capsule may help to manage this side effect.
