A Ret 0.025% Gel 20gm

A-Ret 0.025% Gel is used for:

• Managing mild to moderate acne vulgaris: This is a common skin condition that causes pimples, blackheads and skin blemishes.

• Reducing the appearance of fine wrinkles: The gel may help improve the texture of ageing skin.

• Lightening skin discolourations: It can be used to manage uneven skin tones caused by sun damage.

• Smoothing rough skin: Chronic exposure to sun can cause your skin to become coarse, and this medicine can help soften it.

• Clean the area of skin where you will apply the gel with a mild cleanser, then pat it dry.

• Wait for 20-30 minutes before you apply the gel.

• Take a pea-sized amount of the gel on your fingertip or a clean cotton swab.

• Apply it on the whole acne-prone area, not just on individual spots.

• Do this once daily, preferably at bedtime, or as directed by your doctor.

• Avoid contact with your eyes, lips and nostrils.

• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly to avoid spreading the medication to other areas.

• During the day, make sure to use sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and wear protective clothing to protect treated areas from sunlight.

A-Ret 0.025% Gel contains tretinoin (0.025%), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Normalises Skin Cell Growth: Tretinoin works by regulating the growth and shedding of skin cells that line hair follicles. This helps prevent clogging of pores which can lead to acne lesions.

• Promotes Skin Renewal: By increasing cell turnover in the follicular wall and reducing cohesiveness between cells, tretinoin allows your skin to renew itself more efficiently.

• Increases Sun Sensitivity: Tretinoin makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Hence, it's important to use a good sunscreen and protective clothing when you're outdoors.

• Store A-Ret 0.025% Gel at a comfortable room temperature.

• Keep it far from high heat and moisture.

• Protect the gel from direct light.

• Always ensure it's out of reach and sight of children.

• Be sure to use the gel before its expiry date.

• Try to limit your exposure to the sun as A-Ret 0.025% Gel can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. When you need to be outdoors, always apply a non-comedogenic sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and wear protective clothing.

• If you're dealing with acne, remember that diet can play a part. Aim for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables and lean proteins, while avoiding foods that may trigger acne like dairy and sugary snacks.
