Contraindications

• Silymarin + Ursodeoxycholic Acid is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to silymarin or Ursodeoxycholic acid.

• It should not be used in patients with bile duct obstruction or intestinal disorders that impair absorption.

Other medications to avoid

• This combination may interact with cytochrome P450 enzyme system metabolisers anti-arrhythmic medication (such as amiodarone), anti-ulcer medication (such as cimetidine), bile acid sequestrants (such as cholestyramine and colestipol) and antidiabetic agents (such as insulin and metformin).

Overdose and missed dose

• Overdose of this combination can lead to symptoms such as severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and jaundice. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearing the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double up on the doses.

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.
