Contraindications

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this combination can lead to severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and potential liver damage. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical help immediately.

• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drinking plenty of fluids can help manage side effects like nausea and diarrhoea.

• Avoiding alcohol can prevent the metallic taste in the mouth and other disulfiram-like reactions.

• This medication may cause dizziness or confusion in some people. Therefore, it is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery while taking this medicine until you know how it affects you.

• Fluconazole may sometimes be prescribed during pregnancy but only if other treatments have not worked. If your doctor or health visitor says your baby is healthy, you can take fluconazole when you're breastfeeding.
