Contraindications

Other Medications to Avoid

• Chlorpromazine + Trifluoperazine + Trihexyphenidyl may interact with CNS depressants (such as benzodiazepines), antihypertensives (like atenolol), other anticholinergics (such as atropine), epileptogenic medications (including bupropion), and QT-prolonging medications (like amiodarone).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Symptoms of overdose include deep CNS depression, hypotension, tachycardia, QT prolongation, seizures, and anticholinergic toxicity. Immediate medical attention is required.

• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• If you experience dry mouth, sip water regularly or suck on sugar-free hard candy.

• For constipation, try increasing dietary fibre intake by eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medicine may impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid such activities if you experience dizziness or sedation after taking this medication.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Chlorpromazine + Trifluoperazine + Trihexyphenidyl may cause withdrawal symptoms in neonates when used during the third trimester. It is generally not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

• Always consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with cardiovascular disease, seizure disorders, prostate enlargement (BPH), and hepatic or renal impairment should exercise caution when using this medication.

• Due to increased risks, it should be used cautiously in elderly patients with dementia.
